Dove History and Mission
Darrell and Ellie Dobbelmann established Dove International in 1991 as a result of a vision and directive from the Lord to bring people to Mexico for the purpose of evangelism. Since its inception the mission of Dove has been to equip and mobilize the local church to fulfill the Great Commission. Thousands of young people and adults have participated in Dove's short-term outreaches and have made a huge spiritual impact in Mexico. The Mexico outreaches have been very fruitful with thousands of people coming to the Lord. The outreaches have also had an impact on the churches in Mexico whom we partner with for the outreaches. Many have increased in size and caught a vision for doing evangelism among their own people. In addition, the participants on these trips have also returned with a new vision of missions and evangelism. Several young people have been called into full time missions and have gone on to serve the Lord in their calling. We will never know the full extent of the impact of these short-term missions but what we have witnessed has been miraculous and anointed of the Lord. Our ministry in Mexico includes door-to-door Bible distribution, children's ministry, open air evangelistic crusades and some mercy ministries among the poor. Teams who participate in these outreaches come prepared to do children's ministry, perform dramas, lead worship, preach and give testimonies at the services. Dove International owns 4 coach buses that we use for outreaches. The first bus was donated to Dove by a ministry that has a common vision for taking people to Mexico on short-term missions.

As part of Dove's mission to train people in missions and discipleship, World Changers Outreach Institute was formed in 1999. WCOI is located in Antigua, Guatemala, and offers four programs: Discipleship Program, Leadership Program, Summer Outreach and Guatemala Language School training. The programs vary in length from 3 weeks to 3 months and are designed to provide opportunities for spiritual growth, evangelism, mercy ministries, volunteer work in the community and Spanish language acquisition. Bruce Ahlberg serves as director of WCOI.

Dove is recognized by the Federal Government as a non-profit 501c3 organization and is governed by a board of directors who meet four times each year.

Statement of Purpose
Serve the local church's leadership in mobilizing their people into personal cross-cultural missions involvement, and to train leadership to perpetuate and expand the same.

Statement of Faith
We of Dove International believe that the Bible is God's only inspired and authoritative Word. It reveals that Jesus Christ is God's Son and became a man, and though all other men are lost, have sinned, and come short of the glory of God, God has made salvation for them possible through the substitutionary death on the cross of this precious Son-Jesus Christ.

We believe that repentance, faith, love, and obedience are fitting responses to this tremendous act of God's love in our behalf, and that His initiative of grace makes it possible for every believer to exhibit these qualities if they so choose.

We believe that it is God's greatest desire for "none to perish, but all to come to repentance" (1 Peter 3:9), and that His choice was to work in a loving union with us in "reconciling the world unto Himself" (2 Corinthians 5:18)
